報告分享 | 半導體激光光源和光學整形的協(xié)同發(fā)展

2020年6月24日,炬光科技董事長兼CEO劉興勝博士受邀在EPIC(歐洲光電產(chǎn)業(yè)協(xié)會)舉辦的24小時環(huán)球直播中發(fā)表題為《推動高功率半導體激光器的應用和增長:半導體激光光源和光學整形的協(xié)同發(fā)展》的演講。 與固體激光器、光纖激光器和氣體激光器等其他類型的激光器相比,高功率半導體激光器在效率、可靠性、成本、尺寸等各方面都具有優(yōu)勢。所有可以應用半導體激光器的場景,一定會使用半導體激光器。 然而,無論EEL(邊發(fā)射激光器),還是VCSEL(垂直腔面發(fā)射激光器),激光光束質量都較差。尤其是EEL的光束質量在快慢軸極端不對稱:快軸方向BPP(Beam Parameter Product)良好,慢軸方向BPP很大。因此,半導體激光器光束質量差的特性決定了它目前不是主流應用的選擇。 但劉興勝博士認為,并非所有實際應用都需要高光束質量的激光,只要滿足應用對能量密度、光束形狀和能量分布的要求即可。高光束質量的激光當然比較容易滿足以上三個要素,但通過微光學透鏡對激光進行整形,使光子在合適的時間出現(xiàn)在合適的位置,低光束質量的激光便可以為我們所用。同時,整形后的光斑在眾多應用中表現(xiàn)出獨特的優(yōu)勢,如線光斑、面光斑在應用于焊接、激光剝離和退火等領域時可大大提升加工效率;應用于Flash LiDAR時可以減少運動部件的使用(如機械部件或MEMS),從而大幅提高系統(tǒng)可靠性。 31.jpg 炬光科技微光學透鏡能夠在零維(點)、一維(線)、二維(面)三個維度對各類型激光器進行光束整形。無論何種入射光源類型(VCSEL芯片、VCSEL陣列、EEL/Nanostack、DPSSL/光纖激光器),其光束形狀如何,光束質量如何(發(fā)散角大小、是否對稱),整形后均可形成圓形、矩形、線形等各種光斑形狀,滿足激光加工需求;也可形成較大的發(fā)散角,滿足照明、3D感知等應用需求。 \ \ 雖然光學整形不能提升激光器的整體光束質量,但可以通過調節(jié)不同方向(快軸、慢軸)的光束質量,滿足特定應用對激光能量密度、光束形狀和能量分布三要素的要求,應用于OLED柔性顯示生產(chǎn)中的激光剝離、玻璃退火、塑料焊接、半導體退火、金屬表面處理、鐵路軌道檢測、自動駕駛激光雷達等領域。 \ 高功率半導體激光器與微光學光束整形技術的協(xié)同發(fā)展,拓寬了半導體激光器的應用邊界,從而達到1+1>2的效果。
